Candidate: Erin Houchin (R) (i) - WINNER
Erin received her Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and holds a Master’s degree in Political Management from The George Washington University. She previously represented the 47th District in the State Senate since 2014, which included all of Crawford, Orange, Harrison, Perry and Washington counties, and the eastern half of Dubois County. In her role as a state senator, she served as a member of the Senate Committees on Commerce & Technology, Elections, Family & Children Services, Homeland Security & Transportation, Utilities, and Veterans Affairs & the Military.

Candidate: D. Liam Dorris (D)
Dale William "D. Liam" Dorris II is a native of Evansville, Indiana. After graduating from Evansville North High School, Dorris spent four years of active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps where he served as a Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment Specialist. After his time with the Marines, Dorris's varied career saw led him to such roles as a U.S. Army Contractor in Iraq to working in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. Dorris currently resides in Bloomington, Indiana. Beyond his professional endeavors, Dorris's interests include a passion for science fiction, professional wrestling, and gaming.
