Matrix Integration (Matrix), a strategic IT solutions and managed services provider, today announced the promotion of Tim Pritchett to a newly created position: Vice President of Technology and Innovation. Pritchett, who has worked at Matrix Integration since 2022, will leverage his skills as a seasoned engineer, cybersecurity expert and a former CTO to be the most senior voice directing technology strategy and implementation at Matrix. In this role he will steer Matrix’s internal technology needs, manage Matrix’s engineers, develop external products and services for clients, and manage partnerships with companies including Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Aruba Networks, Cisco, Veeam, and Microsoft. “Tim has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership for our outstanding engineering team as well as with our clients,” said Nathan Stallings, president of Matrix Integration. “This new position will formalize those activities and expand Tim’s capacity to spearhead strategic decisions that drive innovation, security, and support our vision for the future.” For over three decades, St. John Associates (SJA) has extended love to impactful organizations in the Bloomington community and beyond through charitable giving. Constellation is thrilled to announce an exciting lineup of popular week-long summer camps in theater, comedy, film, and musical theater. New this summer is the addition of non-performance-based camps in costuming and playwriting for kids and Creative Movement for pre-k! Back this summer are camps for Littles (rising grades 1-3), Kids (rising grades 4-7), and Teens (rising grades 8-12). Ten-time Grammy Award-nominated singer, songwriter and actress Janelle Monáe headlines the show at Memorial Stadium. As one of the most celebrated artists of the modern era, Monáe is known worldwide for her genre-bending music that often explores themes of space and futurism and her critically acclaimed acting performances in films like “Glass Onion,” “Hidden Figures” and “Moonlight.” Her latest album, “The Age of Pleasure,” was nominated for two Grammys, including Album of the Year and Best Progressive R&B Album. Monáe will take the stage immediately following the total eclipse, which occurs at 3:04 p.m. and will last for approximately four minutes. Parks and Recreation is collecting quotes from tree planting companies to plant 157 trees in three different locations in 2024. Businesses have until Feb. 23 to submit a bid to prepare each tree planting site, dig the hole, then plant, stake, mulch and water each tree. The trees to be planted are provided by Parks and Recreation.
Duke Energy's Bloomington Reliability Project in 2023 built new transmission lines along Rogers Street, 11th Street, and Dunn Street to feed three substations, and to provide a continuous and reliable flow of energy to the community. The project forced the removal of 120 trees in the transmission line corridor. Duke Energy has contributed more than $55,000 to replace trees that were removed as part of the project. Parks and Recreation urban forestry staff marked the tree planting locations with pink flags and paint. The tree planting locations can also be viewed online in Treekeeper, the city's urban forest management system. While in Treekeeper, check the "Community Highlight" box in the map layers panel to see the marked locations of all the replacement trees. |
