On Thursday, June 20th, 2024, the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held it's annual Golf Scramble at Bloomington Country Club. See photos from the event below! Congratulations to Monroe County Civic Theatre on the 35th anniversary of Shakespeare in the Park! Monroe County Civic Theatre (MCCT) was founded in 1986 by a group of local artists dedicated to the goal of providing positive theater-making experiences for all members of the Bloomington community. Nearly thirty years later, MCCT is now Bloomington’s only all-volunteer, amateur community theater organization. They remain devoted to providing opportunities for individuals to know the many challenges and rewards of theater — no matter what their background or experience!

On Saturday June 1st Young Professionals Bloomington attended the WonderLab Grandfalloon: Jailbird AfterHours event. This year's program was dedicated to scientists, past and present, who are revered as change-makers in STEM. We enjoyed delicious drinks from Upland Brewery, made seed bombs, did some bird watching and finding and more! The ceremony is dedicated to honoring the bravery and selflessness of our first responders—firefighters, law enforcement, dispatch, and correctional center officers. Set to spotlight these everyday heroes, the Valor Awards recognized one individual from each sector for their exemplary service. This organization is a 501(c)3 local non-profit organization that offers support to Monroe County's first responders and their families at times when tragedy strikes. Back the Line offers immediate monetary and emotional support to the surviving families of a fallen or disabled Monroe County first responder. This organization actively supports first responders’ mental health and morale during the year by providing access to peer support, chaplain services, social workers, grief counseling, and incident debriefings.
