On Tuesday, April 12th, 2022, the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce hosted it's bi-monthly Bloomington Women in Leadership (BWIL) event. BWIL is based on three pillars: Empower, Engage, and Inspire. This month focused on Engagement by reaching out to the Bloomington community and volunteering for My Sister's Closer. My Sister’s Closet helps women living in poverty with critical tools and training needed to find employment. When women living in adverse conditions secure jobs, they are better equipped to feed their families and provide safer homes and life changing programming for their children. Bloomington Women in Leadership had a great time giving back to the community during this month's BWIL: Engage. Below are photos from the event. Congratulations to Cancer Support Community's on their new location and grand opening in Bloomington. They provide psychosocial support to complement medical treatments for cancer patients and their family members. With any cancer diagnosis come feelings of hopelessness and social isolation. Cancer Support Community's services in Bloomington are free of charge to all people impacted by a cancer diagnosis. A special thank you to Bloomington Health Foundation and IU Health for their support in opening this wonderful facility.
